Shri Rushikesh Patel has been a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the visnagar vidhansabha constituency since 2007. However, his association with visanagar has been much before the induction of his political stint. He was born in a small village near visnagar and he started his journey as a businessmen in real estate (construction) from this very city of visnagar. After commencing few successful projects in visnagar, he along with close friends inducted Tirupati Sarjan Ltd. in the year 1994-95. Since inception this company has come a way ahead and is now a BSE listed company. It has successfully carried out various residential, commercial, government and infrastructure projects across the nation.
During this journey, Shri Rushikesh Patel incepted and NGO with the name Tirupati Foundation long with his close friend Shri Jitubhai Patel. This NGO has carried out enormous social welfare activities in and around Visnagar. Shri Rushikesh Patel along with Tirupati Foundation has facilitated various welfare activities which includes:
- Construction of more then 200 checkdams in and around Visnagar
- Plantation of more then 10crore trees in various districts in North Gujarat including Visnagar (Mehsana District)
- Introducing most affordable education (at a very nominal fee) system for the students of visnagar under the banner of ‘Panchsheel Education Trust’
- Incorporating various sakhi mandals under one umbrella with the name ‘Mahila Gruh Udyog Sahakari Mandali Ltd.’ which works dedicatedly to enhance women empowerment in and around Visnagar
- Helping hand to more then 900 widow women’s in and around Visnagar by providing them food kit for their entire family and also providing earning opportunities to enable their empowerment, all this under the banner of Tirupati Foundation
- Construction of Tirupati Natural Park, Visnagar (appr. 7kms from visnagar city)
- Construction of Tirupati Rushivan Natural and Adventure Park, Derol (appr. 36kms from visnagar city)
- Facilitating incorporation of Visnagar city under Municipality
- Facilitating various developmental projects in and around visnagar, such as road infrastructure, sewerage line, etc.
- Empowering poor children’s by providing affordable education along with study kit and meals
- Conducting regular Swachta drives across Visnagar
- Conducting regular plantation drives in and around Visnagar
- Forestation and maintenance activities in and around Visnagar
- Ensuring that government welfare schemes reach the people in need in and around Visnagar
- Representing need and requirement of people of visnagar and other development requirements of visnagar in Gujarat Legislative Assembly as their representative.
